Christmas- Traditions or not!
Christmas is somewhat similar to a wedding! There are traditions you can follow if you wish which often inform what happens when. If you want to follow traditional norms for your wedding you can. That said, increasingly couples come to me for support because they’re looking for a ceremony that is far from traditional – something that reflects who they really are and celebrates their uniqueness! And often what they really want is a wedding ceremony that is a tradition/non-tradition mash up that celebrates their love. Bring it on!

Mexicans believe that the gates of heaven are opened at midnight on 1st November so that the spirits can come down to party with their family and friends! Many of the couples I’ve worked with have incorporated their own heirlooms from wearing family rings to including stones and small photos in bouquets or wearing a family wedding dress. Earlier this year Princess Beatrice did just this when she wore a dress from her own grandmother, The Queen, on her wedding day.
